TWO SHORT NIGHTS A GREAT SUCCESS
Last Updated:
This year's Film Festival was a great success. The International Open screenings kick started the festival with short films from all around the world. Thursday night closed with the Cineon-Productions 48 Hour Film Challenge screening, with all 20 teams involved in this year's challenge attending.
The Friday events began with a screening celebrating the 10th anniversary of Two Short Nights, 10 Big Years of Two Short Nights welcomed some old favourites back to the big screen and was followed by a panel of previous Bursary Filmmakers (Toby De Burgh, Chris Jones, Tanya Morel, Max Sobol and Ashley Thorpe) discussing the bursaries and what they meant to them. The panel was led by Devon and Cornwall Film's very own Lee Morgan.
The festival finale celebrated this year's short film commissions by screening them for the first time on the big screen to an excited full house.
The festival ended as it should, with a big party in Exeter Phoenix's Cafe Bar to the sounds of the wonderful Laura Dugmore Band and DJ Dr on Holiday. Free jam jars of Jememiah Weed were passed around as film makers, film fans and a few film stars celebrated the great world of Short Films.
